A couple of weeks ago, when I opened my apartment’s door, I almost fell… it was slippery and smelly…. the neighbour’s dog just pissed in front of our door, right next to the doormat!!!
I thought, these dogs in Budapest just doing their business on the streets…but apparently NOT.
The first thing I learned in Budapest was watching my steps. Because there are dogs poops everywhere right in the middle of the street. Sorry to write it so directly, couldn’t put it more delicately
After living here for 2 months…. still can’t get used to this ….
And today…. just after I opened the gate and was ready to step outside the building…there it was….so disgusting! Fortunately for me somebody was there first
How can dog’s owners here are so irresponsible? …. You can’t just let your dogs doing their business in front of some body’s door and then don’t clean up after them!! Hello??!!! Where are we? I thought I’m living in a capital city in Europe but sometimes I’m not sure of that
Everyday I pity the men who cleaned the street… unlike in Germany, they still cleaned up the street manually with a hand broom.
So, as Volker said to me (again) today while I was ranting about this, … welcome to Hungary and PLEASE watch your step

Good for you for not getting all pissed off and keep thinking positive! Maybe next time you should tell your neighbour, he/she probably doesn’t know that their dog has been naughty
