Lakritze are what I bought from Gothenburg last month. 16 Kg’s salty Lakritze to be exact for Volker Lakritze a.k.a.Liquorice are Volker’s favorite sweets/candies… I don’t like it… for me it taste funny

The trip to Gothenburg was on the spur of the moment decision… I was kinda feeling blue and after work …I texted my cousin at 11.30 pm and she told me that her boyfriend was going out of town for the next day…what a coincident … I had 3 days off….so…I took the very first flight because the flights after that were full….but….Goteborg..here I come

So…still sleepy…(I instantly felt asleep even before we took off) , I arrived at Gothenburg. Really small but cute airport (you can see the picture as usual in our album). I took the bus to the city…- wasn’t far ..about 20 minutes – and met Rina there.

Oh I forgot to tell you that I went alone because Volker had to work…so it was kinda girls days since Armin was also away for 3 days. Rina and Armin just bought an apartment in Gothenburg last December … They used to live in London but since Armin comes from Goteborg they decided for a better future at his home, so Rina moved to Gothenburg in January and was visiting language school when I visited her.

Sweden has a program for immigrant, you have to visit a language school and after passed the exam, they assist you to find a job. And that’s all free of charge…how great is that?

Back to my visit, unfortunetaly…the weather wasn’t good those days…rainy and windy…so we stayed mostly at home or at Cafe Cronhuset had a lot of girls talks *what else* This cafe is really comfy ..you really should go visit there

Other than that we walked along the city center…you can see the picture here…

It was also their national day when I was there ….

and also graduation day for high school….they celebrated in cruising around town in open cars…

or on boat through the canals…reminds me of how we celebrated in Indonesia …quite similar.

Gothenburg really is a nice and lovely city..you should definitely visit there but in summer please….otherwise it’s really cold and windy up there
